If you would want to control the number of times your website visitors receive messages from your flows, you'll need to update your existing Exclusion Rule. Navigate to your Exclusion Rules by visiting the ShopMessage Dashboard > Flows and Click on the Flow that you would like to edit. Next, navigate to your Rules tab. 

To edit this rule we need to change Has any properties to Has. This will allow a property field to display with a variable drop down.
Change the property to sequence_id and select Equals and input the sequence ID in the field and change the type to Number.

In this example, we’re adding a rule so a user doesn’t receive a message from this flow more than once every two weeks.

You can find the sequence ID within the URL of the event that you are editing.

We suggest adding a frequency cap of two weeks to 30 days for abandoned cart and browse abandonment.
